We have won over 1000 appeals at the Veterans Court and tens of millions of dollars in retroactive benefits for our clients.

We don’t win every case. Nobody does. But we are proud of our record and aren’t afraid to show the data.

Of the appeals we have handled in the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims between 2020 and 2022, we achieved a favorable outcome for our client in 91.8% of the appeals. Does this mean that we can guarantee the outcome of your case? Of course not. But it does mean that we have the knowledge and experience to get you the best outcome possible.

Recent Wins

We are proud of our record of helping veterans and their families get the benefits that they deserve. Here you can read about some of the results we have achieved in the past year. All dollar amounts listed reflect the amount received by the client after any fees were paid to us.

You should be aware that various factors influence the amount of a retroactive award, including the length of time a claim has been pending and the severity of the disability. While we are proud of the results we have achieved for our clients, each case is unique and past results do not guarantee future outcomes.

  • Her husband was a veterinarian stationed in Japan and cared for military dogs returning from Vietnam. Later in life, he developed one of the cancers associated with exposure to Agent Orange. After having her claims denied for years, we were able to convince VA that her late husband was exposed to Agent Orange on damp fur of the contaminated animals he came in contact with. As a result of our work, she received retroactive benefits and VA will pay her monthly survivors’ benefits for the rest of her life.

  • When his service-connected conditions prevented him from continuing to work, a veteran filed a Total Disability Rating based on Individual Unemployability (“TDIU”). His claim was quickly denied by VA, and after pursuing his appeal alone for six years, the veteran hired us to represent him. We were able to win his benefits following appeals to the Board and Veterans Court.

  • After filing a claim for his severe hearing loss in 2012, a veteran came to us in late-2019 with a denial from the Board. We took his case to the Veterans Court, where a judge sided with us and sent his case back to VA. Thereafter, we were able to convince VA to award service connection for hearing loss and tinnitus. As a result of our work, the client received a retroactive award and will receive monthly disability payments for life.

  • After a veteran passed away with an appeal still pending, the spouse stepped into their shoes and pursued the claim to completion. The spouse was also awarded survivors’ benefits back-dated to the veteran’s death.

  • After a veteran who served in Thailand during the Vietnam era developed an Agent Orange-related cancer, he filed a claim with VA. Despite acknowledging that Agent Orange was used in certain locations in Thailand, VA told the veteran that he wasn’t exposed to Agent Orange and denied his claim. Following several years of going it alone, he hired us to represent him in an appeal to the Veterans Court. Following a win in the Court, the Board quickly granted his claim. As a result, he received retroactive benefits back to the date of filed his claim, and will receive monthly benefits for life.
